Game Night Date Change
Game Night Date Change! Our neighbor in Hartwell is organizing a game night. Saturday, April 25th, 6:30PM at Green Living By Design. Games will be available and people are welcome to bring their own as well. Drinks and food will be available for purchase.


Hartwell school name change disssion
FYI On Monday, April 20th the Cincinnati School Board has a meeting scheduled at 5:30. One of the items on the agenda will be possibly changing the name of Hartwell School. Board meetings are held in Mary A.Ronan Cincinnati Public Schools' Education Center, 2651 Burnet Avenue, 45219

June 5,6,7 Neighborhood Yard Sales Pick your dates, and times. We will compile a list of sales to put online and hang banners advertising for the community wide sales. Email hartwell.1912.improvement@gmail.com your dates, times and address to be put on our online list


Plant Swap May 2nd
Plant swap Sat, May 2nd 9-10AM Bring a plant, take a plant, or should I say plants!! This is a great opportunity to give or take plants for your yard or house. If you don't have any plants to swap no problem, there are plenty. Coffee and donuts will be served, so just stop by and chat with your neighbors!


Community Council Meeting April 21
Our next Hartwell Community Council Meeting will be April 21st at 7PM In addition to updates from our Neighborhood Police Officer, Fire, Rec Center and School we will have a discussion and vote regarding the Zoning of our business district. The purpose of this request to change our business district zoning, is to prevent our business district getting another gas station. I am attaching copies of the proposed overlays. Spring Clean-up!
The next Hartwell Neighborhood Clean-up is Wed. April, 22nd! Meet at the Hartwell Rec Center! We will start at 3PM. Pizza, snack and drinks will be served. We will order pizza around 3 and again around 6 for people who join us after work. Everything you need will be provided, trash pickers, garden tools, trash bags and mulch! As a nonprofit we can fill out community service paperwork. This will be our spring clean-up! Come on out and celebrate Earth Day with your neighbors!

The Hartwell Community Council sincerely thanks Green Living By Design for going well beyond their mowing contract by donating and maintaining beautiful plantings at the Galbraith Banks—an expense the Council usually covers. Hartwell Council Meeting
The next Hartwell Community Meeting will be on Feb 17th at 7PM. In addition to hearing updates from the Police, Fire, Hartwell School and Recreation Center, we have several items on our agenda. We will have a vote on our Neighborhood Support Grant, our DBA of Hartwell Community Council and changing the number of votes needed for a quorum. Glenda Smith will speak. She is a candidate for Hamilton County Common Pleas Judge. Join us!


311Cincy Academy
311Cincy, the City's customer service program, is excited to announce the next 311Cincy Citizens Academy , which will be held in March 2026 . Voting precincts
FYI You may be aware each voting area is divided into districts on the state level and precincts on the county level. The district representatives, help determine who gets a D or an R behind their name on the ballots, including City Council. The length of a term is 4 years. On the state level 1 man and woman from each party can be a representative, and on the county level 1 per party. The applications are only available at the Hamilton County Board of Elections (not online).


Hartwell Book Club
One of our neighbors has started a Hartwell Book Club Book club will be the 4th Thursday of each month at Green Living Market @6:30. To make it worth their while, please consider purchasing food and/or drinks if you are able to. Please let me know of anyone else who would like to join and I will add them to the email. On Day trash delay City residents
Due to extreme cold and subzero wind chills, all trash, yard waste, and bulk collections are suspended today. The safety of our staff is our top priority. Collections will resume tomorrow and operate on a one-day delay for the remainder of the week. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation as we navigate these challenging conditions. Shoes and Jerseys
Last year the HIA donated enough money for the entire boys' basketball team to receive new shoes. The kids won their championship! This year we donated $275. While they do not need 5,000, they do need additional donations to help pay for the jerseys and shoes. The majority of children are from low-income households, so this helps the kids be able to play.
