Council Meeting
The next Hartwell Community Council Meeting will be Tuesday, August 18 at 7PM. We meet at the Hartwell Recreation Center. We will continue discussing our community budget requests and our upcoming events.

Millcreek Valley Conservancy District
The Millcreek Valley Conservancy District (MVCD) is entering an exciting new chapter, and we are seeking community-minded leaders who are interested in helping shape its future. Established under Ohio law, the MVCD was created to address flooding, stormwater management, and watershed protection throughout the Mill Creek Valley. Today, the organization is being reestablished to meet the evolving needs of our communities by strengthening flood resilience, protecting natural res


❤️Volunteers in Hartwell
The traffic islands by Woodbine and Wildwood and Avalon and Woodbine needed some work. Neighbors Andrea and Tara and got too work and a truckload of debris and weeds later, the islands are on there way to getting shaped up. A man drove by as a second day of work was being done and offered $40 towards new plants! Thank you so much!!

Hartwell Community Council Meeting May 19th at 7 PM
The next Hartwell Community Council meeting is Tuesday May 19th at 7PM. We will hear updates from Police, Fire, Hartwell School and Rec Center. Board elections will be held and we will begin discussions on the next Community Budget Requests. This is a two year cycle where we ask for our top three items. Sometimes they get approved. Previous approvals include resurfacing of the basketball courts, trees and bullocks around the Parkway Circle and improvements at the Ferndale pla


Plant swap May 2nd
Plant swap Sat, May 2nd 9-10AM Bring a plant, take a plant, or should I say plants!! This is a great opportunity to give or take plants for your yard or house. If you don't have any plants to swap no problem, there are plenty. Coffee and donuts will be served, so just stop by and chat with your neighbors! Meet at the playground on the corner of Burns and Ferndale.


Thank you Volunteers!
We covered a lot with the volunteers we had! Even going through half a street will help with the never ending battle. Thank you to everyone who pitched in! Kathy and Todd Blomer covered a lot of ground, along with Kyle. Nick helped out a lot on Galbraith and another couple did a chunk on Anthony Wayne. We had a nice Mom and her 4 kids pitch in and the area between the Rec center and Kroger had many, many bags collected. Carl Woerner with Walker Crematory pitched in as well. W

Game Night Date Change! Our neighbor in Hartwell is organizing a game night. Saturday, April 25th, 6:30PM at Green Living By Design. Games will be available and people are welcome to bring their own as well. Drinks and food will be available for purchase.


Hartwell school name change disssion
FYI On Monday, April 20th the Cincinnati School Board has a meeting scheduled at 5:30. One of the items on the agenda will be possibly changing the name of Hartwell School. Board meetings are held in Mary A.Ronan Cincinnati Public Schools' Education Center, 2651 Burnet Avenue, 45219

Community Council Meeting April 21
Our next Hartwell Community Council Meeting will be April 21st at 7PM In addition to updates from our Neighborhood Police Officer, Fire, Rec Center and School we will have a discussion and vote regarding the Zoning of our business district. The purpose of this request to change our business district zoning, is to prevent our business district getting another gas station. I am attaching copies of the proposed overlays. Spring Clean-up!
The next Hartwell Neighborhood Clean-up is Wed. April, 22nd! Meet at the Hartwell Rec Center! We will start at 3PM. Pizza, snack and drinks will be served. We will order pizza around 3 and again around 6 for people who join us after work. Everything you need will be provided, trash pickers, garden tools, trash bags and mulch! As a nonprofit we can fill out community service paperwork. This will be our spring clean-up! Come on out and celebrate Earth Day with your neighbors!
