ZONING VARIANCE
1/17/26 Dear Neighbor, We are writing to share information and request community feedback regarding a zoning variance application submitted for the property located at 8172 Vine Street 45216, currently associated with ANS Nursing Service’s LLC. The applicant has requested a variance that would allow residential occupancy on the first floor of a commercial business. As part of our review process, we believe it is important to hear directly from nearby residents and property


HIA Meeting Tues, Jan 20th 7PM
The next HIA meeting is Tuesday Jan 20th, 7PM at the Hartwell Recreation Center. In addition to updates from the police, fire, community center, Hartwell School and HIA, we will discuss grant opportunities, zoning and our goals for 2026. Please join us. You do not need to be a member to attend.


On Day trash delay City residents
Due to extreme cold and subzero wind chills, all trash, yard waste, and bulk collections are suspended today. The safety of our staff is our top priority. Collections will resume tomorrow and operate on a one-day delay for the remainder of the week. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation as we navigate these challenging conditions. Shoes and Jerseys
Last year the HIA donated enough money for the entire boys' basketball team to receive new shoes. The kids won their championship! This year we donated $275. While they do not need 5,000, they do need additional donations to help pay for the jerseys and shoes. The majority of children are from low-income households, so this helps the kids be able to play.

GLBD is also a collection point for Toys for Tots


Self-defense and Martial Arts
There is a self defense and beginner's Martial Arts Class starting at the Hartwell Rec center. Master Tanya Roberts 6th degree Black belt is the instructor. Call Tanya Roberts at513-222-4676 for more information. Tuesdays at 6PM.


One day delay trash 11-11
#CincyAlert Reminder: In observance of Veterans Day, most city offices will be closed on Tuesday, November 11th. There will be no City of Cincinnati collections (e.g., trash, recycling, or bulk item collections) on Tuesday. There will be a one-day delay for the remainder of the week.
