Job Corps information
Do you have young men and women in your neighborhood that are between the ages of 16 and 24, who are eager to develop entry level skills in a particular industry & would love to do so for FREE!?!
Well, Cincinnati Job Corps has been ROCKIN IT OUT!!!! We are currently ranked #16 in the Nation, #1 in Ohio, #1 in Serrato, #1 in MTC (Job Corps Contractors) #3 in Credential Attainment, #8 in Quarter 2 Employment/Education Placement, and #6 in Quarter 4 Employment/Education Placement!!!!! And we are ecstatic about it!!! Students and Staff alike have continued to work hard in the midst of Covid, and their hard work shows!!! As you can imagine, we want to share in our excitement and invite new students to join our community, whether it be at Cincinnati, Dayton, Cleveland, or a non-Ohio Center! Job Corps works and is positively impacting the lives of young men and women each and every day!
Do you know some current students, recent/rising graduates, or alum who might be looking for an opportunity like ours? All it takes is one phone call or email to an Admissions Representative, like myself, Kamilah Barker, Kirk Lynch, or Kim Jenkins, to get them connected!!
Wondering how our FREE residential program is operating in lieu of the Pandemic?
We are excited to say that the Job Corps program has begun to bring our current students back! The safety of our students and staff is our top priority, so we are proceeding with caution, following all CDC recommendations (and more). Many Job Corps centers have begun bringing back our students in small groups (not all campuses yet, since we are carefully watching the Covid-19 trends in each area). We are requiring students to remain in quarantine for 14 days once they arrive on center; staff and students are required to exercise social distancing and wear masks whenever they’re not in private offices or rooms. We are so happy to be bringing our students back!!
In other big news, the Job Corps program has also begun to enroll new students virtually. We have thousands of applicants, nation-wide, who have been waiting patiently to begin their training and start making progress toward their careers, so we’re thrilled to be able to offer these students the opportunity to train from home until we can bring them all to center, in person. We will provide our students with Chromebooks and hotspots to ensure they have the technology they need. That being said, we understand the virtual learning environment won’t work for all students, so we’ll gladly enroll those students in-person when it’s safe to do so.
We are currently, and have been, accepting applications for new students, so please continue to keep Job Corps in mind for all your 16-24 year old referrals who could benefit from our quality programming.
We know it’s been a very difficult time for all the students and young men and women we serve. We stand with you and are grateful for our collaborative partnerships that benefit our shared demographic. For those of you who are not active partners, let’s change that immediately! Would you like to schedule a virtual or in person brief overview presentation to learn more about Job Corps and how we can impact your neighborhood?
