Mutual Dance Theatre

Hartwell, we’re proud to call this area home. Mutual Dance Theatre has been making dance that moves people, performing in large stages such as at the Aronoff. We want to make sure you know that since 2019 when we moved to Hartwell, we've been producing professional dance right here in your backyard.

As Cincinnati’s only professional modern dance company, we do two things: we bring world-class touring dance to Cincinnati and we produce compelling dance theatre with our own resident company of professionals who live here in Cincinnati.

Once a year, we host a very popular show in our converted studio and it's coming up! We want to make sure that our neighbors have a chance to snag tickets before they sell out (which they do every year). Currently, we have less than 40% of seats available between December 3 and 12 for the series called Up-Close.

This year, Up-Close '26 will feature a new dance work from Dayton Contemporary Dance Company’s new Associate Artistic Director Countess V. Winfrey, and a return of |S|P|A|C|E|, created by our own former Company Director, Steven P. Evans.

Join us for Up-Close ‘26 right here in 45216!

Dec 3-5 & 11-12 at 7:30 PM 8222 Monon Ave, 45216 (on the corner of Monon and Parkway) $29 (early bird savings before Nov 8)
